How to engage people in creative learning experiences.

We are developing new technologies that engage people (especially children and teens) in creative learning experiences. In particular, we are developing new programmable tools (such as computerized LEGO bricks and media-authoring environments) that extend the range of what people can design, create, and learn. We try out our ideas and technologies in classrooms, museums, and after-school settings, focusing especially on underserved communities.

What We're Looking For

Students with playful/creative minds; experience in developing new technologies; interest in studying how people learn; and a deep commitment to improving the lives of children.

Our Work at a Glance

Scratch is a new programming language that makes it easy to create interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art—and share your creations on the Web. Scratch is designed to enhance the technological fluency of young people, helping them learn to express themselves creatively with new technologies.
